Prior to flying I worked as a Sailing, Windsurfing and Powerboating instructor in Oxfordshire for 12 years. I did my PPL in 2017, became hooked instantly, and continued onto my CPL/MEIR. I did my instructor rating mid-2022 and look forward to flying with some enthusiastic PFT students!

I started my career as a pilot by completing my PPL training at PFT. Since then, I have worked hard to build up a breadth of flying experience including obtaining my frozen ATPL license. Outside of flying, I completed a degree in Aerospace Engineering, and enjoy running and cycling.

James started flying gliders at the age of 15 before getting the bug for powered aircraft. He worked for the environment agency performing maritime surveillance, while also parachute dropping at a local club and training to become a flight instructor. He moved to Scotland for four years, flying for Loganair on the Highlands & Islands routes, simultaneously enjoying some stunning scenery instructing at Aberdeen airport flying club. Currently, fly long haul routes for BA on the B777 at Heathrow.

I’ve been flying since 14 in different countries. I got my fATPL in 2011 and became a flight instructor in 2015. I have been an air ambulance pilot and flown turbine and jet aircrafts in charter sector, currently flying the Piper M600 both commercially and privately.

Pete is a passionate flyer of light aircraft with over 3000 hours of flight time both VFR and IFR. He has experience on a wide range of aircraft types including Piper, Cessna, Mooney, Robin, Socata, Diamond, Grumman, Slingsby and Chipmunk. He’s a “Mooniac” with over 1500 hours on type and has flown all over Europe, from north of the Arctic Circle, to the Greek islands, Malta, Maderia and many places in between. When not flying he has a passion for off-piste skiing and triathlons.

Raresh first learned to fly in the Air Cadets. By the age of 17, he had become an instructor on the Vigilant motor glider flying other cadets on weekends. After completing a physics degree, he embarked upon ATPL training earning his Commercial Pilot’s License. With experience flying a variety of single and multi-engine aircraft in both the UK and abroad, Raresh hopes to pass on the same high standards to his students that he learned during his professional training.

I have been interested in aviation since a young age. Having a pilot father, I grew up surrounded by aviation and knew straight away I wanted to fly. I began gliding at 14 and was awarded my PPL on my 17th birthday. After leaving school I undertook my commercial training with Leading Edge, graduating in 2022. I have a passion for vintage taildraggers and I’ve been lucky enough to fly multiple types (including a Mustang!). Outside of flying you can find me watching F1 and riding my mountain bike.

After gaining my PPL at PFT in 2021, I have since gone on to gain my fATPL and completed my commercial training in 2023. I have worked at PFT for a few years now in various capacities and aim to provide the same relaxed, informative and professional training environment that I found here when working towards my PPL.

He has been instructing at PFT on a part-time basis since 1999 and has over 7000 hours of flight time worldwide. He is currently flying the Bombardier Global Express for a private owner and used to train fast-jet pilots in the RAF.
